Following tooth loss, the supporting bone gradually resorbs away. With time, there is often too little bone for implant placement.
It is possible to replace the missing bone with a graft. The graft can be from the patient, from another source or from both. The implants can be placed once the graft has healed.
The procedure is well tolerated, very successful and allows implants to be placed when this would otherwise not be possible.
