Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

Mr Maneesh Sinha is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Dudley Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the West Midlands. After his initial Orthopaedic post-graduate training in India at the prestigious Grant Medical College, Bombay University and Masters degree in Orthopaedics, through thesis and examination, he began higher surgical training in England, in the South West Thames rotation based at St.Georges Hospital, London. He continued his Orthopaedic training in the Oxford rotation. During this time he obtained subspecialist training in upper limb and hand surgery in a SAC approved fellowship with the upper limb unit at The Great Western Hospital, Swindon and benefited from further post CCT subspecialist training in the upper limb unit at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford.

NHS post

Mr Sinha was appointed to a substantive consultant post with a specialist interest in upper limb surgery, within the Dudley Group of Hospitals in September 2008. He has contributed to the development of upper limb services in Dudley Group of Hospitals and his practice predominately involves treatment of shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand problems. He has extensive experience in arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery for shoulder and elbow problems and joint replacement in the shoulder and elbow. He treats common hand conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger and Dupuytrens disease. He also has an interest in the management of upper limb trauma. He has published papers in peer reviewed journals and continues to take an active interest in research, audit and teaching activities.
