Nipple reduction surgery is a cosmetic procedure used to decrease the size of the nipple and may also include reshaping of the nipple. The procedure is most commonly requested by women who feel self-conscious or otherwise embarrassed by the size of their nipples. 

Nipple reduction surgery involves making small incisions in the nipple in order to remove excess tissue. It will normally be carried out under Local Anaesthetic which will be used to numb the area, however sedation may be offered.

For most patients the procedure takes only about 1 hour and is generally considered to be an outpatient procedure. You can expect to make a full recovery within just a couple of weeks.
