As part of Ramsay Health Care UK (Ramsay), The Westbourne Centre has offered its full support to the National Health Service to assist with its response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Ramsay’s global Managing Director, Craig McNally, wrote to Sir Simon Stevens earlier in the week to confirm Ramsay’s complete commitment.
Working with the other independent sector providers, Ramsay has agreed a major deal with NHS England to provide additional emergency capacity to the NHS. The major deal has been made at cost - meaning no profit will be made for doing so. Nationally this will see the independent sector providing its entire hospital capacity to the NHS.
Ramsay UK’s CEO Dr Andy Jones said: “Ramsay will do everything it takes to support the country at this time of crisis. Ramsay’s hospitals and staff across the UK are already standing with the NHS at the frontline to fight against COVID-19”.
Ramsay was founded over 50 years ago on the basis of People Caring for People and this has never been more true than today.
The Centre has already postponed many routine appointments and treatments in order to prioritise our resources to handle the crisis. We apologise for the delays this will cause for our patient’s treatments and thank you for your understanding and patience.
The Centre will remain open, however there may be slight variations to our published opening times as we flex to meet the needs of the ever changing situation.
Please call us on 0121 456 0880 if you have any queries.
Thank you again for your understanding during this time.
